Trivia: The name King Biscuit Revue celebrates the longest running radio show in history - originating in 1941, and still on the air - King Biscuit Time, on KFFA from Helena, Arkansas. Also known as the King Biscuit Flour Hour, the program aired live broadcasts of artists such as Sonny Boy Williamson and Robert Lockwood Jr. This was, for many listeners, the first and only connection to the original black blues artists. The show's main sponsor was King Biscuit Flour, hence the name "King Biscuit Flour Hour".

The popular band, King Biscuit Revue combines talent from some of Southern California's finest musicians, who have opened for such legends as Ray Charles, B.B. King, Bobby Bland, Charles Mingus, and many more…

KBR’s music is a synthesis of Rhythm and Blues, Swing, Soul, Jazz, Jump Blues, Funk, and Motown. Upbeat, contagious, and SUPER DANCEABLE….the right mix of MALE AND FEMALE VOCALS, rhythm section, HORNS, guitar, and keyboard. Ken Schoppmeyer on harmonica and vocals is arguably one of THE best in the nation. This is a professional, hi-energy, SUPER FUN! dance band that plays AUTHENTIC little known “gems” of rhythm and blues from the past, and ALSO COVERS OF YOUR FAVORITES from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Marvin Gaye, Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, Joe Turner and SO much more…

With an appeal to all age audiences, King Biscuit Revue is as much fun to watch as they are to hear. With polished musicians and soloists, stage presence, male / female tension, and a dancing trombonist, you will be entertained visially as well as audibly. You won't be able to stop yourself from dancing! Contrary to many overly loud bands with too much emphasis on screaming guitar, KBR is the right mix of rhythm section, horns, guitar, keyboard, harp and vocals. You need to hear to appreciate!
